فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَابِيَةً
FaAAasaw rasoola rabbihim faakhathahum akhthatan rabiyatan (10)
( فعصوا رسول ربهم ) يعني لوطا وموسى ( فأخذهم أخذة رابية ) نامية . قال ابن عباس رضي الله تعالى عنهما : شديدة . وقيل : زائدة على عذاب الأمم .
Each of them disobeyed their Messengers who were sent to them and rejected them, so Allah seized them with a seizing that exceeded the force required to destroy them.
