( كذبت ثمود وعاد بالقارعة ) قال ابن عباس وقتادة : بالقيامة سميت قارعة لأنها تقرع قلوب العباد بالمخافة . وقيل : كذبت بالعذاب الذي أوعدهم نبيهم حتى نزل بهم فقرع قلوبهم .
