وَجَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ قَالُوا إِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ
Wajaa alssaharatu firAAawna qaloo inna lana laajran in kunna nahnu alghalibeena (113)
( وجاء السحرة فرعون ) واجتمعوا ، ( قالوا ) لفرعون ( إن لنا لأجرا ) أي جعلا ومالا ( إن كنا نحن الغالبين ) قرأ أهل الحجاز وحفص : " إن لنا " على الخبر ، وقرأ الباقون بالاستفهام ، ولم يختلفوا في الشعراء أنه مستفهم .
So Pharaoh sent people to call the magicians, and when they came to Pharaoh they asked him if they would have a reward if they were the winners and overcame Moses with their magic.
