وَقَالُوا مَهْمَا تَأْتِنَا بِهِ مِنْ آيَةٍ لِتَسْحَرَنَا بِهَا فَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
Waqaloo mahma tatina bihi min ayatin litasharana biha fama nahnu laka bimumineena (132)
( وقالوا ) يعني : القبط لموسى ( مهما تأتنا ) متى ما كلمة تستعمل للشرط والجزاء ، ( تأتنا به من آية ) من علامة ، ( لتسحرنا بها ) لتنقلنا عما نحن عليه من الدين ، ( فما نحن لك بمؤمنين ) بمصدقين .
The people of Pharaoh said to Moses (peace be upon them), out of their stubbornness against the truth: 'Whatever sign or evidence you bring to us and whatever proof of the falsehood of own beliefs you show us, we will not believe you. '
