وَالَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَكُمْ وَلَا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَنْصُرُونَ
Waallatheena tadAAoona min doonihi la yastateeAAoona nasrakum wala anfusahum yansuroona (197)
" والذين تدعون من دونه لا يستطيعون نصركم ولا أنفسهم ينصرون " .
Those you call upon O idolators from amongst these idols, are not able to help you, and are not able to help themselves. For they are utterly incapable, unable to do anything. So how can you call upon them instead of calling upon Allah?
