خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ

KhashiAAatan absaruhum tarhaquhum thillatun thalika alyawmu allathee kanoo yooAAadoona ⁽⁴⁴⁾

Tafsir

( خاشعة ) ذليلة خاضعة ( أبصارهم ترهقهم ذلة ) يغشاهم هوان ( ذلك اليوم الذي كانوا يوعدون ) يعني يوم القيامة .

Their eyes will be humiliated, and humiliation will envelop them. That is the day they were promised in the world, but they did not care about it.
