Yusuf • Ayah 104 of 111 • Transliteration


وَمَا تَسْأَلُهُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ 104
Transliteration:
Wama tasaluhum AAalayhi min ajrin in huwa illa thikrun lilAAalameena Yusuf 12:104 ⧉
Tafsir:

( وما تسألهم عليه ) أي : على تبليغ الرسالة والدعاء إلى الله تعالى ( من أجر ) جعل وجزاء ( إن هو ) ما هو يعني القرآن ( إلا ذكر ) عظة وتذكير ( للعالمين ) .

If they used their reason they would believe the Messenger (peace be upon him), because he did not ask any reward for the Qur’ān or for what he called them to. The Qur’ān is only a reminder for all people.
