( لو كان هؤلاء ) يعني الأصنام ( آلهة ) على الحقيقة ( ما وردوها ) أي ما دخل عابدوها النار ( وكل فيها خالدون ) يعني العابد والمعبودين
If these worshipped things were in reality gods that were worthy of being worshipped, they would not be entering the hellfire with their worshippers. Yet they shall all be entering it, having to remain in it forever, never to come out of it.
