( وهو الذي يحيي ويميت وله اختلاف الليل والنهار ) أي : تدبير الليل والنهار في الزيادة والنقصان ، قال الفراء : جعلهما مختلفين ، يتعاقبان ويختلفان في السواد والبياض ، ( أفلا تعقلون ) ما ترون من صنعة فتعتبرون .
And it is He alone Who gives life; there is nobody who gives life besides Him. And it is He alone Who gives death; there is nobody who gives death besides Him. To Him alone belongs fixing the difference of night and day, in terms of darkness and light, and length and shortness. Do you not understand His power and His being alone in creating and managing?
