An-Nur • Ayah 8 of 64 • Transliteration


وَيَدْرَأُ عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ ۙ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ 8
Transliteration:
Wayadrao AAanha alAAathaba an tashhada arbaAAa shahadatin biAllahi innahu lamina alkathibeena An-Nur 24:8 ⧉
Tafsir:

قوله - عز وجل - : ( ويدرأ ) يدفع ، ( عنها العذاب أن تشهد أربع شهادات بالله إنه لمن الكاذبين)

Through this she will be deserving of the fixed punishment for adultery. She will repel this fixed punishment by testifying by Allah four times: that he is lying in what he has accused her of.
