( أولم يكفهم ) هذا الجواب لقوله : " لولا أنزل عليه آيات من ربه " قال : ( أولم يكفهم أنا أنزلنا عليك الكتاب يتلى عليهم ) يعني : أولم يكفهم من الآيات القرآن يتلى عليهم ) ( إن في ذلك ) في إنزال القرآن ( لرحمة وذكرى لقوم يؤمنون ) أي : تذكيرا وعظة لمن آمن وعمل به .
O Messenger! Is it not sufficient for these people who propose miracles, that we have revealed the Qur’ān upon you which it recited to them? Indeed, in the Qur’ān is mercy and exhortation to believing people, because they are the ones who truly benefit from whatever it contains. Therefore, whatever has been revealed to them is better than that which they suggest should be sent down: similar to what was sent to Messengers previously.
