"إلا"، لكن "ابتغاء وجه ربه الأعلى"، يعني: لا يفعل ذلك مجازاة لأحد بيد له عنده، ولكنه يفعله وجه ربه الأعلى وطلب رضاه.

Through his spending, he only intends the pleasure of his Lord who is High above His creation.
