وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَتِي وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا

Wabarran biwalidatee walam yajAAalnee jabbaran shaqiyyan ⁽³²⁾

Tafsir

( وبرا بوالدتي ) أي وجعلني برا بوالدتي ، ( ولم يجعلني جبارا شقيا ) أي عاصيا لربه . قيل : " الشقي " : الذي يذنب ولا يتوب .

And He made me righteous to my mother. And He did not make me arrogant towards the obedience of my Lord nor did He make me disobedient to her.
