Surah Al-Fatiha is the 1st chapter of the Qur'an, revealed in Makkah. It consists of 7 verses and is considered the most important Surah, recited in every unit of prayer.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ١ i

1:1

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. (1)

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ٢ i

1:2

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds - (2)

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ٥ i

1:5

It is You we worship and You we ask for help. (5)

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ ٧ i

1:7

The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray. (7)
