Surah Al-Fil (The Elephant) سُورَة الفيل

Surah Al-Fil is the 105th chapter of the Quran, consisting of 5 verses. It narrates the story of the army of the elephant, led by the Ethiopian king Abraha, who sought to destroy the Ka'bah in Mecca. Allah intervened to protect His sacred house. Below are the verses of this Surah.

Surah Al-Fil (The Elephant) — سُورَةُ الفيل

Also known as: Alam Tara Kayfa (Have You Not Seen How)

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ۞

i

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ ١ i

105:1

Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant? (1)

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ ٢ i

105:2

Did He not make their plan into misguidance? (2)

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ ٣ i

105:3

And He sent against them birds in flocks, (3)
