بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
iIn the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ i
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. (1)
مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ i
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. (2)
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ i
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame (3)
وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ i
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. (4)
فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِنْ مَسَدٍ i
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. (5)
