Surah Al-Zalzalah (The Earthquake) سُورَة الزلزلة

Surah Al-Zalzalah is the 99th chapter of the Quran, consisting of 8 verses. It describes the powerful shaking of the earth during the Day of Judgment and the resulting consequences for human deeds. Below are the verses of this Surah.

Surah Az-Zalzalah (The Earthquake) — سُورَةُ الزلزلة

Also known as: Idhā Zulzilat (When the Earth is Shaken), al-Zilzāl (The Earthquake), Zulzilat (When It Is Shaken)

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ۞

i

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ١ i

99:1

When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake (1)

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ ٦ i

99:6

That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. (6)

فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ ٧ i

99:7

So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, (7)

وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ ٨ i

99:8

And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. (8)
