Surah Al-Qariah (The Striking Calamity) سُورَة القارعة

Surah Al-Qariah is the 101st chapter of the Quran, consisting of 11 verses. It describes the event of the Day of Judgment and the ultimate consequences for people based on their deeds. Below are the verses of this Surah.

Surah Al-Qari'ah (The Striking Hour) — سُورَةُ القارعة

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ۞

i

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ ٣ i

101:3

And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? (3)

يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ ٤ i

101:4

(It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, (4)

وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوشِ ٥ i

101:5

And the mountains will be like carded wool. (5)

فَأَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ ٦ i

101:6

Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, (6)

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ ٨ i

101:8

But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- (8)
