Surah At-Tariq (The Morning Star) سُورَة الطارق

Surah At-Tariq is the 86th chapter of the Quran, consisting of 17 verses. It discusses the greatness of Allah's creation and the importance of being aware of the Day of Judgement. Below are the verses of this Surah.

Surah At-Tariq (The Morning Star) — سُورَةُ الطارق

Also known as: al-Samāʾ wa al-Ṭāriq (The Sky and the Night Visitor)

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ۞

i

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ ٢ i

86:2

And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- (2)

إِنْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ ٤ i

86:4

There is no soul but has a protector over it. (4)

فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْإِنْسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ٥ i

86:5

Now let man but think from what he is created! (5)

يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ ٧ i

86:7

Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: (7)

إِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ ٨ i

86:8

Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! (8)

وَالْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ ١٢ i

86:12

And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- (12)

فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا ١٧ i

86:17

Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). (17)
