Surah Al-Baqarah — Ayah 57 (Anglo-Saxon English) — Video

Al-Baqarah • Ayah 57 of 286 • Anglo-Saxon English

Translation:
And We gave you the shade of clouds and sent down to you Manna and quails, saying: "Eat of the good things We have provided for you:" (But they rebelled); to us they did no harm, but they harmed their own souls. Al-Baqarah 2:57
Tafsir:
True piety is to worship God alone, to believe in Him though one has not seen Him, to live in fear of Judgement Day, to subsist on the pure things of the earth, to prevent whomsoever one can from falling into sin. It is those who adopt this way of life who will be successful in the next world.
